23rd International Logistics and Supply Chain Congress (LMSCM2025) will be held at Topkapı University, İstanbul with the collaboration of the Logistics Association (LODER) and Cranfield University on October 16-17, 2025.
The congress provides an excellent opportunity for both researchers and practitioners to discuss recent and future trends in logistics and supply chain management. The main theme of the congress is “Sustainable and resilient supply chains in the Generative AI Era”.
The LMSCM2025 Conference will be held Hybrid.
Online presentations will involve substantially reduced registration fees.
All accepted papers, irrespective of the presentation mode, will be included in the conference proceedings released to all participants.

Associate Dr. Abhi Ghadge
Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at Cranfield University, UK

Assoc. Professor Abhi Ghadge, PhD, MTech, BEng is a recognised thought leader in Supply Chain Digitalisation at Cranfield University, UK. He holds a PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management from Loughborough University, UK, and an MTech in Industrial Engineering & Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), India.
With extensive experience in research, teaching, consultancy, and knowledge exchange, he has published widely in leading international journals. He is the Area Editor for Supply Chain Management at the Computers & Industrial Engineering journal and serves on the editorial boards of several prestigious academic journals and advisory committees for major international conferences in logistics and supply chain management.
Drawing on a rich background across industry, academia, and consulting, he helps organisations navigate the complexities of digital transformation, driving supply chain efficiency, sustainability, and resilience.
Prof. Dr. Emel Aktaş
Chair of Supply Chain Analytics at Cranfield School of Management

Prof. Dr. Emel Aktaş has B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in industrial engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. She began her career at Istanbul Technical University as a research and teaching assistant. She worked as a visiting researcher at Wayne State University, USA and as a lecturer at Dogus University, Istanbul, Turkey during her PhD studies.
She took part as a researcher in public and private funded projects on location selection, shift scheduling and transportation master plan strategy. Her refereed articles have appeared in a variety of journals including European Journal of Operational Research, Interfaces, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences and Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice. Before joining Cranfield, Emel was the course director of MSc Global Supply Chain Management programme at Brunel University Business School.
DR. SELMA ÖNER/ Chief Supply Chain Officer
Şişecam Chief Supply Chain Officer

Dr. Selma Öner graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Industrial Engineering in 1995 and received her Master’s degree and Ph.D. from Boğaziçi University, Department of Industrial Engineering. She completed the General Management program at Harvard Business School in 2014. Dr. Öner started her professional career as a Research Assistant at Boğaziçi University and then joined Şişecam in 1997. She worked as Logistics Engineer at Paşabahçe Cam San. ve Tic. A.Ş. and later served in various managerial positions there before becoming Supply Chain Director at Trakya Cam San. A.Ş. In 2017, Dr. Selma Öner was appointed Group Procurement Coordinator at Türkiye Şişe ve Cam Fabrikaları A.Ş. In January 2018, she became the Chief Procurement Officer of Şişecam. Since July 2021 she is appointed to Chief Supply Chain Officer.
Dr. İsmail KARAKIŞ
PwC Management Consulting, Supply Chain Services Partner

Dr. İsmail Karakış received his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2004, his Master’s degree in Engineering Management in 2007, and his Ph.D. in 2014 from the same institution. For over 20 years, he has worked as a management consultant across various industries, providing strategic, operational, and technological consultancy services in areas such as Procurement and Supply Management, Inventory and Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management, and Logistics Management to numerous national and international organizations. During this time, he has led numerous operations strategy, business model design, and process and technology transformation projects in more than 25 countries, including overseas. He has also participated in many national and international congresses and events as a presenter of academic papers and as a panelist on topics related to procurement management.
Burak Kandemir (PhD.)
SCM Solutions & Consultancy Director – Koç Digital

Having more than 25 years of professional experience, Burak has been working on supply chain transformations both professionally and academically. He has worked for Beko, Oracle, Ernst & Young and has managed or been member of more than 50 transformation projects. Specializing on the Multi-echelon Inventory Optimisation and Dynamic Simulation, he has been lecturing production and operations management for 13 years as adjunct professor and is also author of two books – “The Bullwhip Effect in Supply Chains” and “Supply Chains That Changed History”.
SUBMISSIONS
Authors are invited to submit original research or practices that have not been submitted for publication elsewhere. The submitted papers will undergo a double-blinded review process.

Each accepted paper must be accompanied by at least one registration.

PUBLICATIONS
LMSCM2025 abstract and full paper proceedings will be published. Moreover, special issues of indexed journals will be devoted to a strictly refereed selection of extended papers presented at LMSCM2025. The journals with publication potential include:

Among the accepted full papers, selected manuscripts will undergo an additional review process. Successful ones will be offered the opportunity to be published in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Operations Research book series.
In particular, quantitative studies (optimization, machine learning, simulation, statistics, multi-criteria decision making, etc.) will have a higher chance of being included.

New partner publishers will be announced soon.
The full manuscript of the articles presented in the conference will be selected, and authors who express interest will be directed to submit their articles to the relevant journals for publication, subject to the regular process of peer review.

The LMSCM 2025 “Logistics and Supply Chain Management” Congress meets the requirements of Academic Incentive and the new criteria of the Interuniversity Board (ÜAK).
In accordance with the regulation announced by the Interuniversity Board Presidency (ÜAK) for the Field of Social, Human, and Administrative Sciences, under Article 8, sub-clause (b) of Scientific Meetings, which stipulates that “it is mandatory for the organizing committee of other international/national scientific meetings to include an academic representative officially appointed by a university/institute/scientific institution/branch association through the decision of its institution/legal entity/decision-making body”, an academic member has been officially appointed by Topkapı University to the Organizing Committee of LMSCM 2025 with the decision dated 21/07/2025 and numbered E-93752357-903.07.01-2500014969.
Furthermore, the Scientific Committee of the Congress has been established with the participation of academics from different countries. In addition, presentations will be delivered by participants from more than five different countries, and the full texts of the congress papers will be published.
